2019 Design Trends From Market That We Loved
Every October Model55 attends High Point Market. This is an exciting event for our company because many of the items we see shape our catalog for the impending year. Recently, Model55’s VP of Interior Design, Buyer and Interior Design Manager sat down to discuss a few of their favorite 2019 design trends.
#1. Jade, Our Favorite Color Trend
Although there were a lot of colors that caught the eye, jade was the one that really stuck. After all, this ultra versatile color can be used to make any room, accessory, or furniture item pop.
#2. Leather
Walking around High Point Market, it became clear that leather is going to be really popular in 2019. Of course, we saw a lot of the usual leather suspects, but there were also a lot of new twists on old classics. Cognac leather dining chairs were amongst the favorite 2019 design trends from market. Additionally, weathered leather accent chairs went great with the home-y boho vibes a lot of vendors were displaying.
#3. Mixed Materials
Mixed materials are not new to the world of interior design. However, these pieces made a strong showing at market (and we liked it). Whether it be metal and wood or glass and metal, you can pull any room together with a mixed material piece.
#4. Natural Boho Vibes
This look is perfect for the modern apartment seeker. We loved the tone-on-tone color schemes with the subtle boho vibes. Additionally, greenery of any kind goes perfectly with this look.
#5. Geometrics
Model55 is 100% on board when it comes to using geometric patterns in interior designing. One of the many great things about this design trend is that it isn’t too hard to incorporate in already existing designs. If you’re looking to refresh your home or apartment, try adding some flare with a fun geometric throw pillow or table accessory.
#6. Deconstructed Furniture
The final 2019 design trend from Market we are going to discuss is deconstructed furniture. When done right, these pieces can bring an elegant antique look to a luxe or French design. Additionally, deconstructed furniture goes great in rustic environments.
