What do you do at Model55?

As buyer of furniture and decorative accessories, I manage all of the purchasing of our inventory we use for installations.

What is your past experience?

I graduated from University of Rhode Island in 2012 with a degree in Textile Marketing. Upon graduation, I began my career in corporate retail at TJX Companies. I was in the Planning and Allocation School of Excellence training program where I worked with buying teams to allocate product all over the country to drive top line sales. I then went to Bj’s Wholesale Club as an Assistant Buyer and was promoted to Associate Merchant. I bought Summer Seasonal and Holiday General Merchandise.

What is the most inspiring part of your job?

I love learning about the ever changing Interior Design Industry by traveling to High Point Furniture Market and Home Decor shows. I also love impacting our bottom line by being savvy about how we buy to increase margins and lowering our inbound freight.

What advice would you give a candidate who wants to work at Model55?

Be a team player!

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

I love spending time with family and friends especially by the beach. I enjoy running and being active. I also love to read.

What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?
