21 Jun Model Apartment Design Feature: Assembly Germantown
Our latest model apartment design feature brings us to Germantown, Maryland!
We’re spotlighting Assembly Germantown, a comfortable and luxurious residential community nestled between Baltimore and Washington, D.C. This property has an enviable list of amenities, including a fitness center, pool, and complimentary metro shuttle. The 1 and 2-bedroom apartments are perfect for well-established young professionals looking for a suburban feel with access to big cities.
During our vision call, the client informed us that their typical residents range in age from 25-35 and that some have started families. Many of them work from home or want to if they don’t already. Often, residents treat Assembly Germantown as a transitional property before buying their first home.
Phase 1: Model Apartment Design
Our client requested a modern, “less is more” approach to their model apartment design. They wanted the model apartment decor to be clean but lively, with pops of color. Since working from home is important to prospects, the model needed to double as a living space and a remote workspace. Previous designs had left the model feeling cluttered, so we focused on opening up the space to create better flow.
To achieve a modern look with pops of color, we selected a contemporary white sofa to fill the space and act as a canvas for bolder shades. The pillows bring joy and vibrancy to the room, and the white sofa allows us to experiment with color on other upholstered pieces in the open floor plan.
Since the client wanted a multifunctional work from home space, we selected this rectangular dining table that doubles as a workstation. It can seat four dinner guests, but it’s space-efficient enough to keep the area from looking cluttered. The two-tone table and legs maintain the modern look, and the pink-ish chairs add a touch of fun and levity.
We brought modern design into the bedroom, using grays, whites, and blues to establish the color story and eye-catching art and pillows to add some excitement.
Phase 2: Fulfillment and Installation
Once the client approved our design brief, our logistics team began the delivery and installation process. They deliver, assemble, and place all the furniture, then remove trash and packaging materials before the installation team steps in to add the finishing touches.
We couldn’t be happier with the final result!
